Almost all of us have cell phones. We use them every day, all day long and wonder how we ever got along without them. They are an invaluable part of modern life. A big leap forward for human connection and communication. But you know what? They are high maintenance! It seems like no matter what we do, we're always having to charge our cell phone. The battery life stinks!

The battery chemistry has 3 types: NiCad, NiMH, and cobalt ontario-ion. NiCad, or NiCd, battery is used in older cordless drill tools. They are the least expensive, so almost all inexpensive cordless tools use this type of battery. There is one problem with this battery. It's toxic to the environment. So when it's time to dispose the dead NiCd battery it's a problem.



OLithium Polymer - The latest and greatest being used in cell phones. They have a higher power density than the other types. This allows manufacturers to provide either a thinner or lighter battery, or some combination of both. They can be hard to find. They are available for several Samsung phones. Lithium mines Ontario Polymer batteries do not suffer from the poor memory effect and can be recharged anytime.

On the second point, iPOD batteries are smart charging. Now, you can't use your iPOD Nano battery to help study for a test! Rather, they're smart because they can tell the charger when they're almost full. When your iPOD is charging, it charges up to 80% capacity in no time flat. Then, the iPOD battery tells the charger to slow down, so the charging process goes from warp speed to snail's pace. This ensures that the battery doesn't overcharge, and makes certain that you're spending your time with your music, and not spending your cash on iPOD batteries.

People know that communication is very important and there will be times when the batteries of the cellphones are drained and there are no outlets in sight. At least with cheap cell phone batteries the owner can stock up and put these Lithium battery stocks to their cellphones and make those emergency calls.

The long wires of the LED are taped to the negative and positive sides of the coin battery (+) and (-). Carefully twist the wires, ensuring they won't touch each other, into a right angled position which will enable to the battery to rest flat against the inside cover of a glass jar. The odds that you will using the Lithium-Ion batteries are 99% ( that's if you are using the new breeds of laptops :) ). Just check the abbreviation that says LION or Li-Ion on your laptop battery label. Using unapproved batteries could led to dire consequences .... so do be very careful on this. If you have a higher budget you might want to check out SMART batteries. It has a power management circuitry and it will indicate to the user what is the current condition of the battery.
